OUR COURSES

Design for Indian Body

Course: 1

What happens when you design for bodies you've never measured?

The inquiry: How does design respond to Indian anthropometrics, cultural practices, and lived environments? From footwear that works on unpaved village paths to furniture for joint families in 200 sq ft, from public spaces shaped by monsoons to artifacts rooted in daily ritual.

What you'll discover through making: Observe how they sit, cook, carry, pray. Prototype footwear, furniture, spaces, and cultural artifacts. Test with real users in real contexts.

Learn to design not for abstract "users" but for specific bodies, specific practices, specific places.

Duration: 80 hours | Theory + Fieldwork + Making

Who it's for: Designers, architects, product developers working in Indian contexts

Your curiosity becomes: Body-conscious design capability

Data-Driven Design

Course: 2

What if you replaced "I think users need this" with "Data shows people do this"?

The inquiry: How do you collect evidence in the field? What patterns emerge from observation? How do you translate behavioral data into design decisions?

What you'll discover through making: Conduct  user observations. Collect anthropometric data. Map behavioral patterns. Analyze what people actually do (not what they say they do). Design interventions backed by evidence, not assumptions.

Move from guesswork to systematic inquiry.

Duration: 80 hours | Research + Analysis + Application

Who it's for: UX designers, service designers, researchers, product managers

Your curiosity becomes:  Evidence-based design practice

Design for Extremities

Course: 3

What could you learn by shadowing an elderly person for a day? A child navigating a crowded school? A disabled person facing broken sidewalks?

The inquiry: When you design for extreme users the elderly, children, disabled people, marginalized communities, artisans in harsh conditions you discover truths that benefit everyone. Accessibility isn't an add-on; it's a lens that sharpens all design.

What you'll discover through making: Shadow extreme users. Map their daily challenges. Co-design interventions with them, not for them. Prototype, test, iterate based on their lived experience.

Learn why margins should drive innovation, not be afterthoughts.

Duration: 80 hours | Ethnography + Co-design + Prototyping

Who it's for: Social designers, inclusive design practitioners, healthcare designers

Your curiosity becomes: Inclusive design expertise

Design for Choices

Course: 4

Why do people choose what they choose? And how does design shape those decisions?

The inquiry: From how products are arranged in stores to how apps nudge our attention, design creates choice architectures. But when is nudging helpful? When does it become manipulation?

What you'll discover through making: Study behavioral economics. Observe decision-making in real contexts (markets, hospitals, apps). Map decision pathways. Design interventions that guide behavior ethically. Test what actually changes behavior (vs. what you assume will).

Grapple with the ethics of persuasive design.

Duration: 80 hours | Theory + Observation + Intervention Design

Who it's for: Service designers, policy designers, behavioral economists, UX strategists

Your curiosity becomes: Ethical behavior change design

Design for Not-Yet

Course: 5

What futures are you building, and are they the ones you want?

The inquiry: Not predicting what will happen, but exploring what could happen. What if water became scarce? What if care work was valued? What if cities were designed for 45°C heat?

What you'll discover through making: Read weak signals of change. Build alternative future scenarios. Create speculative artifacts from 2035 and 2050. Provoke conversations about desirable and undesirable futures.

Move from problem-solving to problem-finding. Learn to design questions, not just answers.

Duration: 80 hours | Futures Thinking + Making + Storytelling

Who it's for: Strategic designers, innovation consultants, foresight practitioners, change-makers

Your curiosity becomes: Futures literacy and strategic foresight

All courses are modular, adaptable, and can be customized for individual & institutional partnerships.
